Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By accessing or using the HashPaper platform, you agree to be bound by this cryptographic protocol and legal agreement.

01. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HashPaper website, API, and digital timestamping services (collectively, the "Platform") provided by RawBeacon Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a payload to our hashing engine, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

02. Nature of the Platform (Not Legal Counsel)

HashPaper is a mathematical utility and software platform. We provide cryptographic hashing and timestamping services designed to format data in compliance with Section 63 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), 2023.

We are not a law firm. HashPaper does not provide legal advice, and the use of our Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship. You are solely responsible for consulting with your own legal counsel regarding the admissibility and weight of a HashPaper certificate in any specific legal proceeding.

03. The Zero-Retention Protocol

HashPaper operates on a strict "Zero-Retention" architecture. When you paste text or code into our engine, the SHA-256 calculation occurs in volatile memory. We do not save, store, backup, or host your raw intellectual property.

It is your exclusive responsibility to safely store the exact, original digital file or text that you submitted for hashing alongside the PDF certificate generated by our Platform. If you lose your original file, the HashPaper certificate cannot be used to recreate it, and we cannot retrieve it for you.

04. Cryptographic Finality & Revisions

The SHA-256 cryptographic algorithm is a strict one-way function. Changing a single character, space, or byte in your original text will result in a completely different hash value. A HashPaper certificate only authenticates the exact string of data submitted at the exact time of minting. We do not offer "revisions" or "edits" to generated certificates. If you update your intellectual property, you must generate a new certificate to establish a new Priority Date.

05. Payments & Refund Policy

HashPaper charges a one-time flat fee (currently ₹499 INR) per digital asset minted. By initiating the payment process, you authorize our third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, Instamojo) to charge your selected payment method.

Strict No-Refund Policy:

Because our service involves the immediate consumption of server resources to generate a mathematically permanent ledger entry and PDF certificate, all transactions are final. We do not offer refunds if you make a typographical error in your payload, lose your original file, or change your mind after the certificate has been generated.

06. Public Ledger Visibility

By using HashPaper, you consent to the publication of non-sensitive metadata to our Public Ledger. This includes your uniquely generated Certificate ID, the timestamp (IST), your masked Owner Alias (e.g., "Agn****"), and the 64-character SHA-256 hash string. Your raw intellectual property is never published or exposed.

07. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, RawBeacon Technologies and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or intellectual property rights arising out of your use or inability to use the Platform. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the total fees paid by you to HashPaper for the specific certificate in question (₹499 INR).

08. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to your use of HashPaper shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
